How it works

Use Favicon Generator in three steps

    Upload a square or nearly square logo.

  2. 2

    Choose a background style if the source has transparency.

  3. 3

    Generate and download the favicon package.

Start with a simple, readable mark

Favicons appear at very small sizes. Fine text, thin lines and detailed illustrations can disappear at 16 pixels. A bold symbol with clear contrast usually works best.

The generator center-crops the source into a square. Leave padding around the important part of the mark so it does not touch the edges.

Frequently asked about Favicon Generator

Do my images leave my device?+

No. Processing happens locally in your browser. NEXDOWNLOAD does not upload the selected image to a conversion server.

Does processing change my original file?+

No. The original file is never overwritten. The tool creates a new downloadable copy.

Which browsers work best?+

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari work well for the image tools. Very old browsers may not support every output format.
