How it works

Use Image Converter in three steps

  1. 1

Add one or more JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, SVG, HEIC, HEIF, GIF, BMP or AVIF images.

  2. 2

Choose JPG, PNG or WebP output and open Optional settings only when needed.

  3. 3

Convert and download the new copies from the same workspace.

Conversion is not always lossless

Changing the file extension alone does not convert an image. This tool decodes the picture and creates a new file in the selected format. JPEG and lossy WebP can discard detail, while PNG normally keeps exact pixel values but may be larger.

JPEG does not support transparency. Transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose.

A quick format guide

  • JPEG: photographs and broad compatibility.
  • PNG: transparency, screenshots and flat graphics.
  • WebP: modern web delivery with strong compression.
Questions

Frequently asked about Image Converter

Which image formats can I add?+

The converter accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG, WebP, SVG, HEIC, HEIF, GIF, BMP and AVIF when the browser can decode the source. Output is JPG, PNG or WebP.

Can I convert HEIC to JPG?+

Yes. Add the HEIC or HEIF photo, choose JPG and convert. HEIC decoding support is included in the tool, although very large phone photos can take longer on low-memory devices.

What happens to transparency when I choose JPG?+

JPG cannot store transparency. Transparent pixels are placed over the background selected in Optional settings.

Can I convert several images at once?+

Yes. Use Add more files, select one output format for the batch and download the converted results.

Does conversion improve a blurry image?+

No. Changing format cannot recreate missing detail. It only creates a new file in the selected format.

Do my images leave my device?+

No. The browser reads and converts the selected files locally. The source images are not uploaded to a NEXDOWNLOAD conversion server.
