How it works

Use Image Resizer in three steps

Contain, cover and stretch explained

Contain keeps the whole image visible and may add empty space. Cover fills the entire target area by cropping the edges. Stretch forces the image to the exact dimensions and can distort people, logos and circles.

For most photos, cover is useful for consistent cards and thumbnails. For logos or artwork that must remain complete, contain is safer.

Resize before uploading to a website

Uploading an image much larger than its display area increases transfer size and decoding work. Exporting close to the real display dimensions can improve page speed without making the image visibly worse.

No. Processing happens locally in your browser. NEXDOWNLOAD does not upload the selected image to a conversion server.

Does processing change my original file?+

No. The original file is never overwritten. The tool creates a new downloadable copy.

Which browsers work best?+

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari work well for the image tools. Very old browsers may not support every output format.
